(MENAFN- Asom Barta) Deeg Diganta (born November 28, 1989 ) is an Indian singer-songwriter and lyricist. He primarily works for and sings in the Assamese language film and music industries. He is also an instrumentalist and plays dhol, dotara, drums, guitar, harmonium, keyboard, tabla, and various percussion instruments. Diganta was born in Demow, Assam to Promud Baruah and Labonya Baruah. He pursued a degree in Bachelor of Arts in Sociology at Demow College and after dropped out to concentrate on his singing career. He is brought up in Demow, Sivsagar. Where he was regularly active in singing, dancing, and dramatics competition in the College.
Deeg Diganta since his childhood has been extremely passionate about music. At the age of 6, he started her formal training in Indian Classical Music. Initially, he faced a lot of challenges as he juggles to find out a career path as he thought of studying medicine. “I become very anxious whenever I see blood although everyone close to me thought I would end up becoming a medical professional but eventually I made up my mind that music is my go-to desire in life,” he says. And one fine day he mustered the courage to confess to his parents about his ambition by writing a letter to them. Right after his honest confession, his parents supported his decision and soon after that, it was a no-stopping ride for his. “Music was something which is in our tradition. My father used to play banjo and mandolin, my paternal uncle and aunts were also singers and musicians who encouraged me in life,” Diganta adds. His father helped to nurture his musical talents, spending countless hours with his son, singing and playing various instruments. He worked with so many Indian celebrities, Singer's, models, Artist like Zubeen Garg, Kusum Kailash, Neel Akash, Babu Baruah etc.
He has been acclaimed for writing "good lyrics" and poetry. Deeg Diganta listened and try to sing a lot of songs from a very young age. As soon as he heard the songs, He realized that he can confidently sing a song. He started his Hard Journry for his own music album. He has been acclaimed for writing "good lyrics" and poetry. He started his musical career with a album title “Pranay”. The album was released on the online platform. Since then, Deeg Diganta has not had to look back.
