Media Minister meets in Cairo with Algerian, Yemeni counterparts


(MENAFN- Jordan News Agency) Cairo, June 16 (Petra) -- Minister of State for Media Affairs, the government spokesman, Sakher Dudin, on Wednesday held two separate meetings with Algerian Minister of Communication Ammar Belhimer and Yemeni Minister of Information, Culture and Tourism, Muammar Al-Eryani, in .
The meetings were held on the sidelines of the minister's participation in the fifty-first session of the Council of Arab Media Ministers, which was held today at the General Secretariat of the Arab League in Cairo.
During the two meetings, Dudin discussed aspects of joint media cooperation between the two brotherly countries, and the exchange of media expertise between media institutions in both countries, in a way that reflects in developing performance and improving media content, while emphasizing the importance of keeping abreast with the digital transformation in the media landscape.
The Algerian and Yemeni ministers lauded Jordan's efforts and expertise in the field of media, and said they look forward to more cooperation, which would contribute to strengthening joint Arab media work.
The two ministers also expressed their appreciation for the Jordanian proposal presented during the opening session of the fifty-first session of the Council of Arab Media Ministers, which calls for the importance of framing the legal relationship with international media companies, their platforms and applications, through joint Arab action mechanisms.
