(MENAFN) On Sunday, Jun. 13 Rwanda’s Minister of Health Daniel Ngamije confirmed the country’s ability to stop a third wave of coronavirus in spite of an increase in cases in the last two weeks.
In the Rwanda Television's talk show, Ngamije stated that there are at the moment 17-20 persons testing positive per 100,000 tests in Rwanda.
He noted that Rwanda will steadily increase speedy testing services in particular places like big hotels, further saying that any events occurring in public areas must not surpass 30 percent of the venue's capacity, and all participants should demonstrate a negative test result of coronavirus in 72 hours.
He stated that Rwanda projects to guarantee 4.5 million more vaccine shots in the upcoming months, comprising 1 million Johnson & Johnson ones.
