Latvia’s visiting deputy PM lauds ties with Turkey


(MENAFN)Latvia’s visiting deputy prime minister lauded ties with Turkey, stating that they will discover the goods Turkey has to offer in the defense sector.

The recent visit to Turkey is to "deepen our political, military, industrial, and of course human ties," Anadolu Agency quoted Artis Pabriks, who also serves as Latvia's defense minister as saying.

He further stated that the mentioned visit is intended to find out opportunities for mutual collaboration in the defense industry, in addition to gather with his Turkish counterpart Hulusi Akar and "my old friend" Mevlut Cavusoglu, Turkey's minister of foreign affairs.

They would like to get presentations of the Turkish goods, and talk about possible "common research and development."
