Artis Pabriks, who also worked as Latvia's defense minister, stated that his recent visit to Turkey is to "deepen our political, military, industrial, and of course human ties," reported Anadolu Agency.
He stated that his visit is meant to find out opportunities for mutual collaboration in the defense industry, in addition to gather with his Turkish counterpart Hulusi Akar and "my old friend" Mevlut Cavusoglu, Turkey's minister of foreign affairs.
They would like to get demos of the Turkish products, and talk about possible "common research and development," stated Pabriks.
