1961 -- Kuwait Amir Sheikh Abdullah Al-Salem Al-sabah signed a decree about elections of the Municipal Council.
1964 -- State of Kuwait, Egypt, Syria and Iraq signed an economic unity accord, aimed at establishing an economic bloc by removing trade restrictions and having a unified custom rule vis-a- vis Western countries.
1967 -- Kuwait Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Salem Al-sabah signed a decree establishing Kuwait National Guard. The new institution is affiliated with the Supreme Defense Council.
1967 -- Kuwait Government stopped oil exports to the US and Britain for supporting Israel in its aggression on Arab countries.
1967 -- Kuwait Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Salem Al-Sabah signed a decree establishing the higher institute for musical arts, aimed at spreading musical culture in society.
2000 -- Al-Watan publishing house issued the first version of the American Newsweek Magazine in Arabic Language, two years after signing the publication contract with the American magazine.
2003 -- The Public Authority for Applied Education and Training (PAAET) set up the first incubator for handicrafts, providing job opportunities.
2006 -- Kuwait Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah opened Dasman Diabetes Institute at Sharq Area.
2017 -- Kuwait Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah began a mediation to solve the Gulf crisis by visiting Saudi Arabia and meeting King Salman bin Abdulaziz. (end) bs
