(MENAFN)Steelmakers in China are increasing attempts in shifting to ultra-low-emission production as the country forces to better economic expansion.
He Wenbo, who is the executive director of the China Iron and Steel Industry Association (CISA) declared that at the end of February, nearly 620 million tons of crude steel capacities of 229 companies finalized or on the way of promoting ultra-low-emission.
He also announced that for the steel industry to completely realize ultra-low emissions, it will be in need to spend nearly 260 billion yuan (USD40.7 billion) that will lead to rise operating price to at least 50 billion yuan on a yearly basis.
In latest years, China's steel industry witnessed an amazing expansion in green development due to vigorously helping industrial structure alteration, energy structure optimization, ultra-low emission and low-carbon revolution.
