KSrelief Project Masam Dismantles 2,500 Mines in Third Week of May


(MENAFN- Saudi Press Agency) Riyadh, May 23, 2021, SPA -- King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center's project for clearing mines (Masam) in Yemen demined 2,500 mines during the third week of May 2021, including 1,500 anti-tank, 1,000 unexploded ordnance in Aden and Al-Jawf.
Since the beginning of the project, 249,366 landmines have been dismantled after they had been planted by the Houthi militias, in Yemen, claiming lives, serious injuries or amputation of children, women and the elderly, the Saudi project "Masam" in Yemen aims to clear Yemeni lands of mines.
