UN's special envoy for Libya to visit Turkey


(MENAFN)Turkey's Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu is planned to get the UN's special envoy for Libya, Jan Kubis on a two-day visit to the country on Saturday.

According to the Turkish ministry, Kubis' visit is estimated to start on Saturday.

It further declared that "During the meeting, possible steps that could be taken by the international community to support the Government of National Unity and the political settlement process in Libya will be discussed."

Libya saw positive improvements after a penetrate in which rival parties confirmed on Feb. 5 on a unified new executive authority that will govern Libya in the lead-up to national elections on Dec. 24.
