Bosniak leader states his nation opposes Israel

(MENAFN) On Sunday, May. 16 a Bosniak member of Bosnia and Herzegovina's Presidential Council responded to the Israeli premier's tweet showing appreciation to countries for backing Israel against Palestine, noting his nation condemns assassinations of innocent people.

Sefik Dzaferovic said on Facebook: "my message to (Israeli) Prime Minister (Benjamin) Netanyahu is that Bosnia and Herzegovina does not and cannot support the killings of innocent civilians in Gaza by Israeli military forces."

He asked Netanyahu to stop the "disproportionate attacks" on Gaza and help reaching peace for the Palestinian and Israeli people.

Previously in the day, Netanyahu expressed thanks and referred to 25 nations that are now on the side of Israel in the current escalation. The Bosnian flag is included in the post.
