Angola records over 110 cases of human trafficking


(MENAFN)Secretary of State for Human Rights and Citizenship, Ana Celeste Januario stated that more than 110 cases of human trafficking were marked in Angola from January this year to date.

The official declared the information at the workshop on "National Reference Mechanism for Protection and Assistance to Victims of Human Trafficking in Angola."

She further stated that most cases were spotted in the province of Luanda, the capital, and in northern Zaire province in addition to western Lunda Norte province.

Since 2014, Angola was developing the national system for avoidance, protection and assistance to victims of human trafficking, in addition to bringing to court the perpetrators of the crimes.
