Jordan's king criticizes increasing Israeli aggravations against Palestinians


(MENAFN) King Abdullah II of Jordan stated on Monday, May 17, that repeated Israeli measures and aggravations against the Palestinian people led to the increase of situation.

Throughout a phone call with UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres, King Abdullah repeated that there is no option to a political solution that leads to just and complete peace on the basis of the two-state solution that assures the organization of an independent Palestinian state.

The king stressed Jordan's relentless efforts to safeguard Islamic and Christian holy sites in Jerusalem.

He called on the global community to shoulder responsibilities and take action to end Israeli breaches and push the peace process forward.
