(MENAFN) The local customs stated that foreign trade in south China's Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region expanded by 41.1 percent annually to 189.6 billion yuan (around USD29.5 billion) in the January-April period of 2021.
Nanning Customs stated that in the first four months, exports reached around USD16,2 billion, a climb by 45.9 percent annually, while imports hit about USD13,23 billion, a climb by 35.5 percent.
Guangxi's trade with nations engaged in the Belt and Road Initiative increased by 46.3 percent annually to around USD16,29 billion.
Guangxi private companies witnessed a robust performance, with an overall import and export value of about USD18,96 billion, a rise by 41.2 percent from the very period of 2020.
