Palestinians wounded in Israeli assaults reach Egypt for medical care

(MENAFN) The official MENA news agency said in a report that on Sunday, May. 17 several Palestinians wounded in Israeli assaults on the Gaza Strip reached Egypt over the Rafah crossing to receive medical care.

The report noted that medical teams were on the Egyptian side of the border to evaluate the Palestinians' states before sending them to Egypt’s hospitals to receive medical care.

Several Egyptian ambulances stopped close to the frontier with Gaza so as to take more wounded Palestinians to Egyptian hospitals.

The MENA noted that the unusual opening of the Rafah crossing, the only land terminal between Egypt and Gaza, came upon the orders of the Egyptian leadership to offer the wounded Palestinians medical care.
