UN Security Council’s discussion over tensions in Gaza comes with no result

(MENAFN)UN Security Council (UNSC)'s discussion on the situation amid Israel and Palestine among the former's attacks in Gaza ended with no result.

This third session of the top UN body appeared after the US's two moves to block a joint statement that would slam Israel for the violence and call for a cease-fire.

The assembly, joined by Israeli and Palestinian officials, was asked by China, Norway, and Tunisia.

Palestinian Foreign Minister Riyad al-Maliki called Israeli raids on occupied territories of Palestine as "war crimes" and called on the UNSC to impose sanctions and arms embargo on Tel Aviv.
