(MENAFN)Turkey called the UN’s breakdown to adopt a press statement following debating the Israeli-Palestine issue as “simply unacceptable”.
Feridun Sinirlioglu, Turkey’s ambassador to the UN stated that “Failure to adopt even a press statement on an issue that has been on the Council’s agenda since almost its inception is simply unacceptable.”
Sinirlioglu slammed Israel’s aggression, including airstrikes, against Palestinians and expressed condolences to the Palestinian nation for the deaths, including infants and children.
He further declared that attacks on schools represent war crimes, condemning the Israeli raids on the UN Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) schools in Gaza.
