Srinagar- Two unidentified militants were killed in an encounter in Khnomoh area on the outskirts of Srinagar on Monday, police said.
State forces launched a cordon and search operation in Khonmoh area after information was received about the presence of militants there, they said.
The operation turned into an encounter after the militants opened fire towards positions of the state forces, the police said.
Two unidentified militants were killed, the official said, adding that the search operation is still going on.
