(MENAFN)According to a report sent to Turkey's Public Disclosure Platform (KAP) on Tuesday, Turkey's nationwide flag carrier Turkish Airlines carried almost 2.4 million travelers last month.
The airline statistics revealed that last month's number dropped 60 percent compared to the pre-pandemic period in April 2019.
Passenger load factor or seat occupancy dropped from the same period in 2019 by 24.6 percentage points to 58.5 percent this April.
The firm witnessed a 56.2 percent increase in the volume of freight it carried last month -- hitting 153,798 tons.
Turkish Airlines also added 12 new destinations from the past year, giving it a total of 320 destinations internationally.
