China to increase retail oil prices

(MENAFN)The country's top economic planner stated on Friday, May 14, that China will augment the retail prices of gasoline and diesel from Saturday, May 15.

According to the National Development and Reform Commission, based on current changes in global oil prices, the retail prices of gasoline and diesel will be augmented by 100 yuan (about USD15.5) per ton, correspondingly.

Under the present pricing mechanism, if global crude oil prices change by more than 50 yuan per ton and stay at that level for 10 working days, the prices of refined oil goods such as gasoline and diesel in China will be attuned accordingly.
