(MENAFN- UkrinForm)Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba met with Federal Minister for European and International Affairs of Austria Alexander Schallenberg as part of his working visit to Slovakia on May 13, the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry's press service has reported.
According to the report, the ministers discussed the strengthening of relations between Ukraine and Austria in the political, security, trade and investment spheres.
Kuleba thanked Schallenberg for Austria's consistent position in support of the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine. He also praised Austria's assistance in rebuilding Ukrainian territories affected by Russian aggression.
Both parties paid special attention to the promotion of Ukraine's European integration, as well as to Ukraine's wider access to COVID-19 vaccines.
The diplomats discussed steps to increase trade and attract investment. They noted that the revival of contacts between Ukrainian and Austrian businesses and the implementation of new investment projects would help the recovery of national economies against the background of the COVID-19 pandemic.
The foreign ministers discussed the implementation of the agreements reached at the April 27 meeting of the Ukrainian-Austrian joint commission on trade and economic relations.
Kuleba and Schallenberg also discussed preparations for the inaugural summit of the Crimean Platform initiative.
