QSRSN holds lecture on benefits of Ramadan for people with disabilities


(MENAFN- The Peninsula) The Qatar Society for Rehabilitation of Special Needs (QSRSN) recently organised another lecture through video conference on the benefits of holy month of Ramadan. The lecture was delivered by a graduate of the Higher Institute of Islamic Studies in Sudan and a member of Society, Sheikh Osman Yusef Muhammad Ahmed.

The lecture focused on benefits of Ramadan for fasting people including rewards which they will get for offering prayers apart from health, social and religious benefits. During the lecture, Sheikh Thani bin Abdullah Al Thani, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Qatar Society praised Sheikh Osman Yusef Muhammad Ahmed for delivering a number of valuable lectures on the holy month of Ramadan organised by the Qatar Society for Rehabilitation of Special Needs. He said that the lectures focused on cultural, scientific and awareness aspects targeting people with disabilities, their families and those providing services to them.

Sheikh Thani said that pretty good number of people with special needs as well as a large group of media professionals and community activists participate in events and workshops organised by the Society. He called people to utilise the holy month of Ramadan to enhance their social values, to cooperate each other in a bid to promote coexistence in the community. Sheikh Thani also urged people to offer prayers and good deed as much as they can and extend their helping hands to poor and needy people of the community. He said cooperation helped community to make progress and development.
