Sunday lockdown and curfew return to Chiriqui,Veraguas


(MENAFN- Newsroom Panama) Total Sunday lockdown and a nightly curfew have been reimposed on Chiriquí and Veraguas due to the increase in cases of Covid-19. 

The measures will be evaluated every 15 days and the number of cases and positivity will be analyzed said Health Minister, Luis Francisco Sucre, on Tuesday, May 11.

The curfew will be from Friday, May 14. from Monday to Saturday from 8:00 p.m. to 4:00 a.m.

Businesses in those provinces must close at 7:00 p.m.

To reinforce the measures, swab stands will also be established at the Enrique Malek International Airport and at the David transport terminal.

Sucre reiterated that citizen discipline must be maintained and emphasized that the guard should not be lowered in biosafety measures.

On, Monday May 17, wearing a mask and face shield and no talking on public transit across the country becomes mandatory.
