Young MES students celebrate Garangao


(MENAFN- Gulf Times) With the aim to reaffirm the culture and traditions of Qatar, MES Indian School virtually celebrated Garangao festival recently. The students celebrated the fest with dance and expressed their joy singing Garangao song.

The celebration included a wide range of activities. Young girls in traditional gowns with embroidery and golden jewelry and boys in the traditional dress of ‘Thob’, jackets, and caps performed dances, speeches, skit, PPTs, quiz programmes etc. The students also narrated their experiences of the festival being celebrated in the previous years. Teachers explained the importance of this festival and showed videos on the festival.
