Covid-19 in J&# K: 65 More Die In A Day

4352 New Cases Push Active Positive Cases Past 50K Mark

Srinagar: As many as 65 people succumbed to coronavirus in Jammu and Kashmir on Tuesday, the highest ever single-day death toll since the outbreak of pandemic last year, while 4352 fresh cases of infection were reported from the Union Territory during the last 24 hours.

According to the officials, 41 people died of coronavirus in Jammu division and 24 others succumbed to the infection at the various healthcare facilities in the Valley, raising the total fatality count in J & K to 2847.

The officials said that the UT also detected 4352 new cases of Covid-19—1708 in Jammu division and 2644 in the Valley thus taking the total number of people infected by the virus to 224898.

Giving district wise details, officials said that Srinagar reported 846, Baramulla 361, Budgam 322, Pulwama 282, Kupwara 171, Anantnag 198, Bandipora 85, Ganderbal 52, Kulgam 269, Shopian 58, Jammu 602, Udhampur 156, Rajouri 208, Doda 81, Kathua 251, Samba 101, Kishtwar 52, Poonch 87, Ramban 67and Reasi 101 new cases of coronavirus

Also, the officials said, 3537 more patients have recovered, 1275 from Jammu Division and 2262 from Kashmir. Active positive cases crossed the 50701 mark—18041 in Jammu and 32660 in Kashmir.
