(MENAFN- The Conversation) I am a postdoctoral researcher at the Institute for Gender, Sexuality and Feminist Studies (IGSF, McGill University) under the supervision of Carrie Rentschler (Department of Art History and Communication). My research investigates the uses of digital media by LGBTQ+ activists in Montréal. This research is funded by the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council (SSHRC). Furthermore, I am an Affiliate professor in the Department of Sexology and a sessional Lecturer at the Université du Québec à Montréal, where I am also a member of the Laboratory for communication and the digital (LabCMO, see www.labcmo.ca). My research interests also include: digital cultures, qualitative digital research methods, automation and datafication, digital activism, vigilantism, death and online mourning, as well as queer hookup cultures.
