QF-funded ADGS in top 50 most innovative companies in 2021

(MENAFN- The Peninsula) Doha: Renowned international business magazine The CEO Views has identified Application Design for Global Solutions Computer Systems (ADGS), an innovator in deep technology that uses fundamental science and advanced technologies to build futuristic applications, as one of the top 50 most innovative companies to watch in 2021.

Praised as one the 15 most remarkable health innovations at the last edition of WISH (World Innovation Summit for Health), ADGS was more recently selected as one of the most promising startups by the American incubator ‘500Startups’, and the founders were also featured in the American-based APAC Entrepreneur’s ‘10 Most Dynamic Entrepreneurs of Qatar in 2021’.

''Every entrepreneur would be proud to be selected as one of the 10 most dynamic entrepreneurs of Qatar or as one of the top 50 most innovative companies to watch, by US magazines, but I must emphasize that nothing would have been possible without the excellence of my team, my partner, and the strong support of the Qatar Foundation,” said Hassan Al Ansari, Co-Founder and President of AGDS.

Aysha Al Hamadi, Qatar Science & Technology Park (QSTP) Product Development and Grants Management Fund Director, said: ''Recognizing the value of an innovative idea, even before it matures into a viable commercialized product, is at the very heart of what we do at QSTP. We are proud to have supported ADGS right from the start of their journey, via our Product Development Fund (PDF) awards and intensive mentorship through its participation in two of our highly-regarded accelerator programs – XLR8 and MENA Dojo.

''It is certainly an honour for ADGS to be recognized internationally by The CEO Views, and there is no doubt that innovations in deep technology are becoming increasingly important on the global stage as well as for the digital transformation in Qatar. At QSTP, which is part of Qatar Foundation Research, Development, and Innovation (QF RDI), we are determined to champion Qatari businesses, innovators, and entrepreneurs through our vibrant ecosystem, which is why it is fantastic to see another success story in the form of ADGS, who are at the forefront of this sector.”

And Dr. Nabeel Al Salem, Chief Advisor Partnerships of QF RDI division, added: ''Identifying the potential impact of ADGS’s technologies early on in its development, QF RDI awarded it our very first ‘Innovation Coupon’. This award is designed to help Qatar-based small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and start-ups that are developing new technology-focused products and services, to overcome inevitable challenges faced when growing their venture.”

QF and QSTP, with extraordinary prescience, have strongly supported the creation of ADGS, the very first Deep Technology company in Qatar. Deep Technology companies are known to drive the technological leadership of countries, and are naturally found in the world’s richest and most powerful nations.

''The question one might have is if they are rich and powerful because of these Deep Tech companies or if they host Deep Tech companies because they are rich,” said Co-founder and CEO Christophe Billiottet. ''In a region more prone to trading goods and selling fossil fuels, Deep Technology companies have a major role to play, and we must say that Qatar Foundation is one of the very few organizations that fully understands this,” he noted.

''QF knows that private sector Deep Technology is a long-term strategic choice for Qatar. By producing and relying on Deep Tech, Qatar would not only be less dependent on technological countries but could build considerable wealth from it,” adds Al Ansari.
