Patrick is a Public Health Specialist and a qualified Medical Doctor who is completing a doctoral degree (PhD) in Public Health. Currently, he is Project Manager for the University Pretoria's Tshwane Insulin Project (TIP), working towards improving the management of type 2 diabetes in primary care in South Africa through health systems research, health systems strengthening and innovation. He is passionate about being an agent for change for the improvement of the lives of people with diabetes in Africa and an advocate for a person-centred approach.
