Labour earns half of Wales parliament seats to preserve control

(MENAFN) The Labour Party has earned 30 of the 60 seats offered to preserve power of the Welsh parliament, the Senedd.

Results of a number of 52 seats had been announced by Saturday afternoon.

Labour leader and First Minister Mark Drakeford noted he will make changes in a “stable and progressive” administration.

He said to BBC Wales that he would choose to be in a position “where you have a government that is able to command a majority for the action that it needs to take on the floor of the Senedd.”
