Australian PM says country to stay closed for foreseeable future

(MENAFN)Australia is going to stay closed for the foreseeable future, according to Australian Prime Minister Scott Morrison.

There is no "appetite" amid Australians to revive the country's borders to international travelers as Coronavirus remains to spread via the world, News Corp Sunday newspapers quoted Morrison as saying.

He further declared that "I don't see an appetite for that at the moment," adding that “I think what we're seeing at the moment is the appreciation of the people that the pandemic isn't going anywhere."

"All I know is once you let it (COVID-19) back in again, you cannot get it out. You've crossed that threshold."
