Global manufacturing increases

(MENAFN)According to an index issued by the China Federation of Logistics and Purchasing (CFLP), global manufacturing activity augmented in April for a 10th successive month, although at a slightly slower pace than in March.

The international manufacturing purchasing managers' index (PMI) hit 57.1 percent in April, it dropped from 57.8 percent the past month, according to the CFLP.

A reading above 50 shows development, while a reading below 50 reflects reduction.

The CFLP stated that regardless of the slight rollback, readings for March and April were both above 57, showing steady international recovery.
