(MENAFN) An industry survey jointly carried out by the China Federation of Logistics and Purchasing and e-commerce giant JD.com showed that the Chinese e-commerce logistics industry registered moderate expansion last month.
The survey demonstrated that the indicator tracking e-commerce logistics activities climbed to 111 points in the past month, a rise from 109.4 points in March.
The overall demand for e-commerce logistics dropped during the stated period, with the sub-index monitoring the overall business volume standing at 127.8 points, a decrease 0.3 points from the prior month.
Demand for e-commerce in rural areas kept its expansion momentum, with the sub-index monitoring e-commerce logistics in these regions coming in at 129.1 points, a climb from 3.6 points from March.
