Barbara Brown

(MENAFN- The Conversation) Guided by my professional experiences as a former classroom teacher and district leader, I conduct research to advance innovation in teaching and learning. In my role as Associate Dean, Teaching and Learning in the Werklund School of Education at the University of Calgary, I support faculty in developing high-quality learning for all learners. Using methodologies, such as design-based research, action research and case study, my research also includes professional learning networks, professional practice standards, technology-enhanced learning environments, pedagogies and innovations in education. Through my work and knowledge mobilization efforts, I continually seek to have a lasting impact on the practice of existing and future teachers and school leaders as well as the broader community.
