(MENAFN) Official figures demonstrated that pork prices in China dropped in the past week as supply topped demand.
From April 26 to 30, the average pork price indicator in 16 provincial-level regions monitored by the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs was 28.64 yuan (around USD4.4) per kg, a drop by 3.7 percent weekly.
This number also showed an annually fall of 32.6 percent.
The country’s administration took a string of procedures in 2020 to bolster the pork supply, comprising releasing frozen pork reserves and rising imports.
