Zelensky announces signing of 'very serious agreement' with U.S.

(MENAFN- UkrinForm) Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has discussed with U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken the signing of an important document with the United States in the future.

According to Ukrinform, the head of state said this at a joint press conference with Blinken in Kyiv on Thursday, May 6.

"We talked about the issue of an alliance and about the issue of a possible very serious bilateral agreement. But this is a question of the future and it is too early to talk about the details now," Zelensky said, without specifying what agreement he means.

In general, Zelensky praised the level of U.S. support for Ukraine. "I want to thank for the bipartisan support of the United States. This is really happening. Military support is growing, and financial support is growing," he added.

Blinken is on a visit to Kyiv on May 6. He is holding a series of meetings with senior officials and civil society representatives.
