Malaysia: Natural rubber output declines 27.6 pct in March


(MENAFN) On Thursday, May. 6 official figures demonstrated that the Malaysian natural rubber output in March dropped by 27.6 percent to 36,068 tonnes as compared to 49,840 tonnes in the prior month.

Malaysian Statistics Department said that on the basis of year-on-year, the natural rubber output rose by 4.5 percent in March.

Exports of the Malaysian natural rubber climbed 7.7 percent reaching 58,852 tonnes in March, a climb from 54,632 tonnes in the previous month.

China stayed the key destination for the Southeast Asian nation's natural rubber exports, with 51.8 percent of the overall during March, followed by Germany with 6.4 percent, Finland with 5.3 percent, the United States with 4.8 percent and Brazil, 2.3 percent.
