(MENAFN)UN Special diplomat for Yemen Martin Griffiths declared on Wednesday, May 5, that a latest UN-brokered cooperation between Yemen's warring sides and other pertinent parties has failed to create any accord.
The recently-concluded cooperation, which happened in Saudi Arabia and Oman, planned to set up a ceasefire across Yemen, counting in the central province of Marib, where the Houthi rebels have been establishing huge offensives on the governmental forces since February.
Griffiths stated in a written report "We have been discussing these issues for over a year now ... Unfortunately, we are not where we would like to be in reaching a deal."
