I am committed to building learning environments that promote student engagement and critical discourse. My research has focused on understanding how to support students'' motivational and argumentation processes in face-to-face and technology-supported learning environments. I collaborate very closely with K-12 teachers in conceptualizing and implementing my ideas into practice. I use my scholarship to inform and develop a student-centered instructional approach in the classroom.
