James Holyoak

(MENAFN- The Conversation) Senior Lecturer in Policing, Institute of Policing,

I am an authentic, leader with a proven record of developing people, improving performance and delivering sustainable change.

As a police leader at tactical and strategic levels, I created adaptive, achievement-focused environments, by empowering teams and individuals to resolve problem challenges.

I have knowledge and skills relating to Professional Standards, Firearms Command, Post Incident Procedures and Counter Terrorist protective security. I remain a Police Volunteer with Leicestershire Police.

I supported the East Midlands Police and Academic Collaboration and I continue to support police colleagues to achieve academic success.

After a full career in Policing, I led one of the first Police Constable Degree Apprenticeship Programmes and several successful contemporary policing modules.

I am now a Senior Lecturer in Policing within the Institute of Policing at Staffordshire University.

I am the Course Leader for Undergraduate policing courses with Warwickshire Police and the Course Leader for the new Policing Leadership Postgraduate programme.
