Iran operates 31 gas platforms in South Pars


(MENAFN)The beginning of the overhaul operation in 31 gas platforms of the field was proclaimed by a director in Pars Oil and Gas Company, who is responsible of improving Iran’s giant South Pars gas filed in the Persian Gulf.

For the first time in 2021 renovate operation is carried out in 31 platforms of the field, according to Hadi Fakhrizadeh, the director for the repairs operation and production management in POGC.

The operation is planned to be completed in 157 days, he added.

“Now, the average daily overhaul of 31 gas platforms has been reduced to 7.5 working days, while previously, about one-third of these platforms were repaired annually in 15 days,” he further stated, referring to the significant reduction in the overhaul period of South Pars gas platforms.

The POGC managing director stated that the production goals managed by the Oil Ministry for the giant gasfield in the last Iranian year was completely fulfilled.
