Anthony J. Onwuegbuzie is a Senior Research Associate at the University of Cambridge. Further, he is a Distinguished Visiting Professor at the University of Johannesburg; an Honorary Professor at the University of South Africa; a Visiting Senior Scholar, St. John's University, New York; and an Honorary Recognised Supervisor (Online), University of Liverpool. His research areas primarily involve social and behavioral science topics, including disadvantaged and under-served populations such as minorities, children living in war zones, and juvenile delinquents. Additionally, he writes extensively on qualitative, quantitative, and mixed methodological topics. With an h-index of 100 and more than 80,000 citations, he has secured the publication of more than 500 works, including more than 400 journal articles, 50 book chapters, and 6 books. He is co-author of the most cited mixed methods research article that has secured more than 17,000 citations. Dr. Onwuegbuzie has received more than 20 outstanding paper awards. Additionally, he has delivered more than 1,000 presentations, 250 methodological workshops, and 50 keynote addresses worldwide. He is former editor of Educational Researcher. Currently, he is editor-in-chief of the International Journal of Multiple Research Approaches and editor of Research in the Schools. He is past President of the Mixed Methods International Research Association. Professor Onwuegbuzie was a recipient of the 2018 National Research Foundation (NRF) top honors awards in the science and research field—receiving an 'A' rating. His overall professional goal is to be a role model for early career researchers and students worldwide—especially those who characterize underrepresented populations.
