( MENAFN )On Tuesday, May. 4 official figures demonstrated that Hong Kong's retail trade rose for a second consecutive month in March as consumers' confidence advanced amidst the narrowing coronavirus pandemic.

A report of the Census and Statistics Department said that retail trade in March was provisionally projected at 27.6 billion Hong Kong dollars (around USD3.55 billion), a rise by 20.1 percent annually.

The expansion in March occurred after a 30-percent increase in February.
