Spokesman for the Iranian Foreign Ministry Saeed Khatibzadeh said on Monday that Iran is worried about the latest developments in Afghanistan.

Khatibzadeh added that "For the sake of peace, stability and security of Afghanistan, we will use all our good offices to make that country's future stable."

Reporters quoted the official as saying at the weekly press conference that Iran is closely observing the progresses in Afghanistan and is holding discussions with regional thespians.

According to Khatibzadeh, Iran can pave the way for the talks between the Taliban and the government.
