(MENAFN)The EU Commission has advocated facilitating constraints on non-vital travel from abroad.
Under the arrangements, anyone who has got the last dose of an EU-approved vaccine at least two weeks earlier will be allowed to travel.
EU Commission President Ursula von der Leyen tweeted that "Time to revive EU tourism industry and for cross-border friendships to rekindle - safely".
The EU presently only permits non-vital travel from seven countries.
