Lebanon COVID fatalities decrease

(MENAFN- Jordan News Agency) Beirut, May 2 (Petra) -- Lebanon Sunday reported a decrease in daily COVID-19 fatalities and said herd immunity has reached 30-40 percent in certain areas.
Lebanon's Minister of Health Hamad Hassan told a press conference: "We come 46th globally in terms of pandemic infections, and this is a good thing after we came in tenth in February. Also, the percentage of fatalities has noticeably come down, as we are now 31st globally after we came in sixth."
"The battle against the corona pandemic is not over yet, but the positive indicators have become readily visible for all to see, and we must not put that to waste or exaggeration," he added.
