Afghan air raids leave 12 militants dead in Ghazni province


(MENAFN) On Sunday, Apr. 25 the Defense Ministry stated in a report that Afghan fighting planes aimed at the Taliban hiding places in the restless Muqar and Gilan regions of eastern Ghazni province on Saturday, leaving 12 rebels dead and wounding another six.

The brief report added that a good deal of weapons and ammunitions of the militants were also damaged in the airstrikes.

More than two dozen militants had died in the clear out drives in the adjacent Wardak province on Saturday.

The Taliban group has not made a remark up till now.
