(MENAFN) President of the African Development Bank (AfDB) Akinwumi Adesina has voiced hopefulness that the Africa continent has great opportunities for green expansion.
Adesina noted in a report reaching Xinhua on Friday: "Africa is a huge market offering incredible opportunities. The recovery pathway offers enormous opportunities. Recovery must be green and build climate resilience. Recovery must boost green investments."
The bank stated in the report that he addressed the European Union-Africa Green Investment Forum on Friday, assembled by Portugal and the European Investment Bank to mobilize private and public capital toward the green transition in Africa.
Adesina regarded energy, agriculture and infrastructure as major fields of investment potential for a post-coronavirus revival in Africa.
