North Cyprus receives additional batch of Turkish-donated vaccines


(MENAFN) Early in Tuesday morning, the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) received another batch of 40,000 doses of COVID-19 vaccine donated by Turkey.

Officials of the TRNC’s Health Ministry received the Turkish Health Ministry plane loaded by the vaccine doses at Ercan International Airport in Lefkosa.

Turkey has offered the TRNC 140,000 vaccine doses up to now.

TRNC Prime Minister Ersan Saner tweeted: "We continue our struggle against COVID-19 with our people and the support of Turkey. A total of 40,000 more doses of the Sinovac vaccine will arrive from motherland Turkey tonight. We heartily thank our motherland Turkey."
