Oman: Dhofar enters partial curfew over high coronavirus risk


(MENAFN) According to a report by the Oman News Agency, on Saturday, Apr. 17 the Omani Dhofar Governorate entered a partial curfew that lasts from 6 p.m. until 5 a.m. local time over a high level of risk from coronavirus.

The supreme committee dealing with coronavirus stated that the lockdown is projected to decrease the rate of infection and also acts as a safety procedure to safeguard the people from the transmission of the virus.

Oman has thus far reported an overall of 176,668 coronavirus infections, comprising 156,845 recuperations and 1,821 fatalities.
