China: Export insurance firm sees business expansion


(MENAFN)China's only policy-oriented insurer specializing in export credit insurance reported firm business expansion in the first quarter of this year as it boosts support for aiding firms handle overseas dangers.

According to the firm, the China Export & Credit Insurance Corporation, also recognized as SINOSURE, had underwritten about USD186.81 billion value of insured businesses throughout the period, increasing 27.6 percent year on year.

SINOSURE served almost 133,000 customers in the first three months, an annual upsurge of 21.6 percent, added the firm.

SINOSURE is a state-funded and policy-oriented insurance firm to endorse China's foreign financial and trade improvement and collaboration. It was officially initiated and put into operation in 2001, whose service network now covers the whole country.
