EU traveler car marketplace recovers


(MENAFN)According to a trade group on Friday, April 16, after seeing sharp drops in the last five months, EU demand for new cars increased 87.3 percent year-on-year last month.
The European Automobile Manufacturers' Association (ACEA) stated that some 1.06 million new cars were sold in the EU in March, compared to 567,253 in the same month last year when severe coronavirus constraints were set up in most markets.
Among the four main EU markets, Italy witnessed the main upsurge (+497.2 percent), followed by France (+191.7 percent) and Spain (+128.0 percent).
The German marketplace also revealed strong gains, with sales increased 35.9 percent on an annual basis in March.
